How can I decorate around a stair bulkhead in my son's room?

Hello everyone I am decorating my son's room ahd he has a huge stair bulkhead in his room. are you all familiar and how do you decorate it or around it? It is pretty high. I thought about adding a cushion to make it a seat but like i said it is taller than his full size bed. Right now he just has some toys, pictures and clothes. it is basically a catch all.

We made a wardrobe on top of ours it was brilliant, clothes hung at the top and toy in the bottom
You could make a reading nook.
