Basement Makeover!

2 Materials
It took us about four years to decorate our neglected basement but we are so happy with the way it turned out. Our goal was fun and sporty while still being elegant.
Here is the room before.
And from another angle.
And here is how it turned out!!!!
This wall is really the focal point of the room. LOVED using Stikwood on the wall. If you haven't heard of it, it is peel and stick real wood that comes in a bunch of types. This is their reclaimed weathered wood and it was the easiest home improvement project ever.
Got this chair on sale at the Restoration Hardware outlet and it was a steal!
We added these old license plates underneath our dartboard to protect our wall until we get better aim!
Here's a shot of the room. The media cabinet is from Ikea.
Our kids love the air hockey table.
This was the ottoman before.
After an hour or so with my trusty staple gun....
This is the finished project!!!
The barn door is one of the best parts of the room. We save a lot of money by buying it unfinished and staining it ourselves. For more pics...visit my blog at www.desigingontheside.com
