Do you have any floating shelves? Also, we have a perimeter of shelves very high up for things that we don't need access to right away.

I needed storage in laundry room. I decided to go to Lowes and buy a couple of cabinets for the wall. I hung two 12" tall ones against the ceiling and then two 36" ones against them. It gave us a lot of storage space for things from the kitchen. It made the Utility (Laundry) room looks nice and more updated.
I use a stack of metal baskets in a rack next to the dryer. It contains laundry items (detergent, dryer sheets, and stain remover), compression hose that needs to be washed separately, towels and wash cloths, and other bathroom supplies. The baskets open like drawers. I purchased the modules from The Container Store.
