What are you making?
My favorite site for pallet work is: 1001pallets.com. Site has everything you will need to know. Once you have learned about the different pallet types and how to safely disassemble, come back to Hometalk for tons of inspiration! You can make almost anything imaginable out of pallets!
The easiest pallets to work with are made of pine, a soft wood; but you have to be careful in the dismantling process so you don't split the pieces or dent them too much. The hardest to work with are made of oak or maple...durable? Yes, but for every screw or nail you want to put into the wood...you will have to drill a hole.
The most important thing for me is HT , for heat treated , no chemicals .
Hi Jules, this article will help you identify the pallets and whether they're safe to use safe: https://www.1001pallets.com/pallet-safety/.
