You can use this technique to completely transform furniture
  • This old cabinet had seen better days. I had HUGE plans for this
  • Using drywall compound and paint, I took this to a whole new level
  • I added some stripes on the sides
  • I also removed the doors to give it a more modern open look
  • The final piece. Red paint with a black glaze and a copper highlight. What's not to love?

I have never done anything like this, but I have an old dresser that I am going to attempt. The only stencils I can find are small and very thin so I don't think I would get the raised look. Can you recommend places to get larger and thicker stenciles like the one that you used in the tutorial? Thank you...I hope mine turns out half as good as yours and I will be happy!

I have a complete dining set similar to this. How do you think I should finish the table?

    Simply amazing!
