Can you use a baby bed long side to make a queen sized headboard? We have our daughter's old Jenny Lind baby bed and need a queen headboard for a guest room - thought we could maybe figure out how to make one but not sure the size is the same....SUGGESTIONS??? Thanks

You might be able to make that work - have you measured them? What is the size difference? If the side of the baby bed is too big, you can definitely trim it down! That's actually a really fun potential project

And, if it's too small you can add boards to the sides to compensate and you can cover all of ti with the same material/paint depending on your decor. I'd love to see how it comes out!

In addition to the size adjustment, figure out how you will mount the new headboard to existing bedframe. Most bed frames have a flat piece of metal at the head of the bed where you can use screws or carriage bolts to secure the headboard, but not all bedframes are built the same.

Great idea! The crib slats will give a look of Mission furniture. Very creative!!!!

The headboard can be mounted to the wall behind the bed instead of attached to the bed.

Thanks.....it will be smaller but........it is a guest room so.....won't look so bad. Can add something to the sides! Thanks again!
