Keep some Rose Geranium Oil on hand. Before going outside apply a dab to ears and wrists. This works wonders in keeping ticks off!

Put tick insecticide on cotton balls and hide them in the brush or bushes at the edge of your yard. The field mice, a tick host, will take the cotton for their nests. The ticks populations may then be decreased.

Avon Skin-so-Soft helps with repelling mosquitos and other biting insects. Ticks and fleas can be kept down by keeping weeds cut, and I've used left-over FLEA SOAP from washing my small dog, in a hand held sprayer and spray the lawn. You can mix up 1/4 cup of flea soap to GALLON of water if you don't have a dog! LOL

Careful around anything that blooms or that BEES might like - we need bees.

LYME (not lymes) Disease =Infections are most common in the spring and early summer. Lyme disease was diagnosed as a separate condition for the first time in 1975 in Old Lyme, Connecticut. It was originally mistaken for juvenile rheumatoid arthritis

If its in you back yard I would use garden lime 50 lb bags and start from the house and work your way away from the house to where you want to keep clear of bugs

keeps out ticks and fleas. 50 lb bag costs less than $10

Hi, so sorry to hear that your great-grandson got bitten. I hope he recovers fully. Chickens, and guinea pigs love eating ticks and fleas. If you can't keep them in your yard, you can also use diatomaceous earth. This article will give you more information on why and how it works - https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/what-is-diatomaceous-earth
