Maybe not the exact same dimensions but this should provide you with some helpful inspiration. It's a good idea to make use of wall space. You can have two levels of hanging rods to mazimize space. Also baskets always help a space look more organized. Good luck! http://www.hometalk.com/diy/bedroom/closets/how-a-girl-built-her-closet-2904673

Wow...that's even bigger than the closet I share with my hubby, lol! Is there anywhere else you can store some of your things? Things that you only wear once in a while for special occasions? or that are seasonal? Also, don't neglect under the bed storage containers....some even have wheels? Can you mount a second rod partway down the wall? The plastic storage carts on wheels are great....you can pull it out to get a better look at the contents if need be. If you can install some closet lighting, it helps to see what is what. Ikea has a portable sweater rack that hangs in a closet, over a rod. They also have a smaller size one, for smaller items. Anything that can be folded works well in a dresser, either stored elsewhere or below the clothes on hangers in the closet. If clothes are knit, they store well in dresser drawers....Also, consider your lifestyle in terms of clothing needs. You may or may not need accessories in your closet.....i.e.. scarves/ties/jewelry. Scarves can make a lovely display elsewhere on a wall, and so can jewelry. Some of hubbies pants may fold well....e.g.. corduroy. Hope this helps.

Some ideas include using stacking blouse/shirt hanger, using stacking pants hangers, separating those items that fit now from those that don't quite fit well, separating by season, using a hanger that holds neckties and belts, and adding a second shelf about the hanging rods.

I put our seasonal clothes under the bed in those roll out storage containers that the other person above mentioned. We have those plastic drawers in the bottom of our closet (Walmart) but not sure if you'd have enough space for those? You can even find organizing hangers at the Dollar Store. I have a hanging shoe compartment that holds about 10 pairs but I squeeze in more. You can put those stick on hooks around to hang things. Also over the door hooks for the closet door can have many uses.

Having a small closet like that myself, and not reading everyone else's ideas: make sure you have double rods on each side leaving only small area for dresses since we don't really have that many things that need the full hanging space. If your single hanging space is too long for the dresses you have and you can't change it to a double hanging shirt space, add a small dresser or shelves. I added a velcro shoe hanger and rolled up tank tops into it. You can get tons into them. Get a small step stool and use the shelves above all the rods for extra storage, using boxes and baskets for things like bathing suits and work out stuff etc... hang an over the door hook rack on the inside for bathrobes, purses or whatever. Use hangers to tie scarves on and you can even use hangers and hood purses over them. However screwing a few hooks or hook racks into studs on the closet wall will allow for purse storage etc. don't forget the space below for extra storage. I use mine for luggage and unused comforters. The corner where your hanging rods meet are unused space. This is where I either hang rarely used items of stack boxes and things.
