Can anyone help me with native plantings?

I live in North Carolina. I want to plant what is common to the area to attract butterflies and bees. I don't want to have to replant every year.

I live in NY, but why don't you plant a "butter fly bush"? They're perennials and easy to care for...

I think that they can become somewhat invasive in SC. Contact your extension service at the state university...they have a wealth of info specifically for your area. Great folks!

Also, you may have Certified Master Gardeners near you. Check with them We always help with answers concerning natural pollinating gardens and wild flower plantings they will also advise you what not to plant for un natural invasions.
