What can I use to get that film, sticky stuff off my hardwood floors?

We have a steam mop and that works really well on all of our floors. Maybe you could borrow one?

Murphy's Oil Soap and warm water. Excellent for wood floors. There is another product specifically for floors: Bona.

Make a mixture of white vinegar and water 50/50 that will take the residue down,Then use the wood floor system by bona.No steam mop which will make the floors to wet and the murphy oil soap will add to the film that is already on the floor.

We always recommend using Ammonia-Free Windex (or similar product) to clean all hardwood flooring. It's strong enough to clean the floor, dries quickly enough, not adding any threat of moisture being absorbed, and has no damaging effects on your wood's finish.
