E6000.

  I agree, I think craft glue is not strong enough and you can't use glue gun.

Definitely E6000. It will hold very well, and dries clear.

Aleene's Original Craft Glue. Much cheaper than E6000!

  I tried using Aleene's on gluing plastic and it did not do well. I believe in this case the fibers would just absorb it. E6000 is available at Wal-mart for a fair price.

I use Elmer's craft glue, it tacks pretty fast and is safe around kids.
