    • rake flower beds and make sure that you don't have a lot of loose vegetation
    • Do you have any standing water? If yes, get rid of it?
    • Make sure your grass is always trimmed and mowed!
    • Don't overwater!
    • Make sure that you don't have bird seed or other things that might attract mice, etc - since snakes will follow the mice, etc (it's their food!)

Sprinkle sulfur around your garden. It acts as a natural repellent.

or leave them, as long as they aren't rattle snakes - - I have a couple large bull snakes that live in my flower bed and under the driveway somewhere. Haven't had any voles or moles since they moved in. They just startle me sometimes!

Sprinkle the yard with granulated Lime pellets, its great for the grass but snakes hate slithering across it, it cuts their stomachs

Ugh....I have tons of them and milk snakes. However, mine must be vegetarian as the chipmonks, voles, and field mice are out of control in my yard!! I should evict them for not doing their part.

I leave my snakes alone. The smaller garter snakes eat the bugs and the larger ones eat various pests (mice, etc. ) that would eat my vegetables!
