I became a new Orchid owner when my daughter bought me one for Mother's Day last year. I've always wanted one but thought they would be too hard to care for. As long as you don't over water and over fertilize you will do good. Make sure the fertilizer is formulated for orchids though. That's what made the difference for me.

Make sure to only water them with ice cubes. Depending on how big 6 inch pot 3 ice cubes every 5 days and defusd sun light ! Hope that helps
