aRE YOU SAYING YOU DO NOT WANT TO USE CHEAP BEADS? To begin with, you need a set of pliers, wire cutters and stringing material which will depend on the kind of beads. Gemstone beads should have a strong material or they may cut it. Find a good source of beads either local or online. I use Fire Mountain Beads a lot, they have a good variety of materials to select from.
It depends upon what you are making. You can use natural stones for wrapped pendants.
Buy used jewelry at thrift shops and reuse the beads.
I agree with all comments but I suggest you buy a beginner's book or google jewelry making tools to familiarize yourself before starting. Cheap beads are useful for practicing on techniques like stringing, wire wrapping, knotting and weaving. Please don't start making jewelry with expensive beads without knowing what you're doing
I tried google, but it pulled up so many beads, not tools. I made some with a friend a few years ago so, I am familiar with making things. I will look through fire mountain catalog I ordered it. Thank you all for the help
