    You're going to have so much fun! You can try radishes, green beans, onions, strawberries, peppers, zucchinis, and tomatoes.

    Also, look at the local Ag Extension office in your area. They usually have information for home gardeners as to what to grow and when to plant dates for your area.

    Soil preparation is the key to a healthy garden.Not what any one else does or says. What works in one are does not necessarily mean it will work in another. Gardening is trial and error and thats how one learns.

    MY first veggies yeeeeeears ago were Bell and jalapeno peppers. I still grow them today. They are so easy its ridiculous. Never had a problem and they require very little care. Good soil, water and miracle gro once a month and you'll have plenty to eat.

    take an inventory of what veggies you and yours normally put on the table for meals. if you can grow them.....do so. $1.99 us for a packet of seeds. if you want to home can salsa, spaghetti sauce, whole tomatoes- there are recipes and how to's on the web or the the big blue book of canning.
