I have a lot of fabric bolts,don't want them on wall, what can I do?

  • what about repurposing a shoe rack and standing them up that way? There are also wire crates that are modular that you could probably make good use of.

    I use the post forms from Lowes or Home Depot. They are used to form a concrete post under decks. Depending how long your bolts are, you can buy the tall forms & cut them in half. My sewing room is quite large, so I used a PINTEREST trick - I turned an old

    4-drawer metal file cabinet on it's side, painted it cream & filled it with the upright post forms. Then dropped in my fabric bolts by colour & shade. Voila, pretty, tidy & handy.

    I use a glass door shelf. I will put my fabrics by color and shape. Wire crates are great for smaller fabrics pieces.

    You can take your fabric bolts and repurpose a file cabinet with long drawers. You will not only be able to see each fabric, at a glance upon opening the drawer, but you will also keep it free from dust.

    Thank you all for the suggestions. I am on the hunt for all suggestions. I have 2 file cabinets in my sewing room and l am paint them now. Looking for wire crates and a shoe tree. Any thing to keep them on the floor and give me wall space for peg boards. Thank you all
