Serving Cart Help Please

I would use "Goof Off" on the sticky residue. Take it apart. Light sanding should remove the scratching, the spray it with a Rustoleum paint in the color of your choice. I would do the handles/poles too. to post a picture of the finished cart

Goo Gone works amazingly! You're lucky you found a cart...I had to make mine out of a sewing cabinet.

Definitely Goo Gone for the Sticky residue left by the contact paper. Use Rustoleum spray paint for metal in your choice of colors to match or coordinate with your decor. I would paint the tubes/handles a different color from the trays/shelves. Perhaps gold, silver, black, or ?? your choice. I saw a similar cart on Flea Market Flip where they wrapped the handle portions in sisal rope and it was adorable. You could also use leather twine or whatever strikes your fancy or leave as is. Let your creative juices run wild. It was only $6 so what have you got to lose?

Could be the ever popular bar or beverage cart, a cool plant stand, rolling craft cart, display space for your treasures in a room somewhere? As previously suggested, paint to go with the decor already in your home. I love Sylvia's suggestions about wrapping the handles. Can't wait to see what you do with it. ☺So excited for you!

To get off sticky labels and adhesives, use cooking spray butter and a mesh scrubby. As to paint, I love the Rustoleum hammered metals. I've used the silver on several projects. It hides any imperfections great. They also make a chrome spray. I have an original 40s chrome bar tray.

You can get the sticky stuff off with rubbing alcohol much cheaper and at the same time the alcohol will help clean and sterilize the cart. I would probably use a metallic silver on it and wrap the handle with leather. It would be useful either in a kitchen or dining area. Great for larger buffet dinner gathering

I bet this would be a cute night stand or side table when not in use as a cart.

I had similar luck- 8$!

(mine had chipped glass shelves, to which I siliconed mirror, in order to make a sturdier, prettier surface)

I was going for a more formal look, so I painted the handles w a metallic, and the center , under and around the mirror, with flat black.

I thought the gold ball castors with the black wheels would be prettier. I bought them. Hey we're the right size and all..

But they just were not as sturdy as the originals. So.. I polished the original clear wheels ( which I see you have) with plastic polish and super fine sand paper, so they wouldn't scratch my hardwood floors.

Gloss black on the shelves and hammered metal on the side rail . mineral spirits will remove the glue .
