Hi Pat! First, open the umbrella fully and wipe off with warm water all of the mold and mildew that you can. Then mix equal parts vinegar and warm water, spray generously, and scrub scrub scrub 😀

Hi Pat, If you have a pressure washer, use that first. If you don't have a pressure washer use a hose and spray gun at full blast. Then I would use a mix of water and vinegar with 3 to 6 drops of dish soap in it to wipe away any residual mold or dirt.

Have used stiff bristled brush with mixture of bleach/water & then spray with hose...works well. However, you need to wear OLD clothing and be in a clearing for you don't want to breath this in or splash anything else. Definitely killed mold & looked new. Glad I have only had to do this once! Keep umbrella closed & covered when not in use is best way to prevent!
