What plant would be best.

I moved to Florida, unfamiliar with plants for this area. I want to hang a plant outside, but it's in the shade. I prefer to have a flowering plant but if I can really only do a green leaf, I'm not happy, but I'll do that! :) Any suggestions? Thanks y'all!

Walk around your neighborhood and see what kind of plants your neighbors have in their yards. If you find something you like, knock on the door and introduce yourself and ask them! A great way to meet your neighbors and get the information you need! It's a win win!!

Take a picture and go to your local nursery.

My fuschias always did beautifully outside in the shade. The sun would have burned them to a crisp as they would dry too quickly. Also, some of the "green" plants can have beautiful colors as well. For instance, we had a lovely green plant but the back side of the leaf was purple.
