We are growing this plant which I purchased at Lowe's this spring.

I have no idea what it is and what to do with it. It is a vegetable and looks like tiny green beans on it. Please help me identify this so I can eat it!

Anita, I'd snip off a bit of it and march it right back to the Lowe's and ask someone knowledgable in the garden dept.! If it didn't have an identifying tag they will tell you or by this time theirs should look like your blooming plant. Don't slap it between two pieces of bread just yet, get the scoop from whenced it came! Let us know, I aint never seen no beans like that on muh Pappy's farm! Good Luck!

At last I have identified this plant.

It is Chinese kale. The tiny pods, flowers and leaves are all edible. Because I live in Florida and this is a cool weather plant, a large flowering shoot came from it. In cool weather, it would only grow the leafy plant. Now I can eat! Thanks for all your help. By the way, Lowe's could not identify it either!

    Hey Anita,

I am glad you found out your mystery plant, Will you use it in a salad or a Chinese stir fry?
