Simple Sideboard Makeover With Chalk Paint
I love finding antique sideboards that just need a little TLC with some new paint and stain... I took this old sideboard, stripped the finish off the top, and re-stained it as well as painted the body with Old Ochre Chalk Paint and hand-detailing on the doors of the cabinet for a fresh, new look...

very beautiful color; great vision for such an ordinary piece. I agree with Elizabeth about the detail--it seems a bit bright for the rest of the piece. Something should go there, but the brightness of it it is abrupt. Did you use the wax after the chalk paint?

I also like that you did the back piece in the paint. I saw something similar recently that left the back piece in the original wood and it looked awkward.
