Outdated Kitchen Makeover

All of our photos wouldn't fit below so make sure to CHECK OUT OUR SITE LINK HERE for plenty more! Below gives you a taste. We took a 80's kitchen and with a limited budget turned it into a fun and inspiring place to be!
This was a very 70’s kitchen with cupboards that had some nasty kind of finish someone had tried to apply and it didn’t quite work out. And me, being who I am, I wanted something fun and unique. And that’s exactly what I got.
This makeover did not involve new fancy appliances. My fridge is over 10 years old. But it works well and I love it. The stove will eventually be replaced but I wanted to show you have to give an old appliance a facelift without spending much money. We0 added some flowers, a new backdrop and some pretty towels. Our site post shows the stove up close.
Notice the little island in the middle. It was actually a stand my dad made for me a few years back to hold kitchen appliances in another home we lived in with a VERY small kitchen. Ends up it was perfect for a mini island. So we painted it up, added contact paper and a towel rack with some pretty towels. The only cost was the contact paper.
This is where my husband Roy built in a corner pantry and some shelves.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE my pantry.
Yes, this is a swatch of my original wallpaper in the room. I did a fun post on that entitled "If These Walls Could Talk" Copy and past this url in your browser url box: http://bit.ly/unusualkeepsake
This room is just a pleasure to walk into it.
