Recently I found myself searching for new bedding but was unable to find exactly what I was looking for. I searched online for hours and found things that were close but nothing quite right. I had a definite picture in my mind. So I decided I would make it myself. I went and bout these flat sheets at wal-mart and got to work.
I purchase 2 king and 3 queen flat sheets from wal-mart. Wash sheets ahead of time.
Tear the queen sheets lengthwise into varying widths. Make the ruffles and pin each one in place to the top (one of the king sheets), be sure to keep your lines straight. Sew all the ruffles in place so they are secure, remove all pins.

Place the other flat sheet on the top, right sides together and sew around the edge. Leave a 3 foot wide opening the the center bottom.

Attach 6 evenly spaced buttons to the opening. Create button holes. this will be your opening to insert your comforter into the duvet.
Turn right side out, insert your comforter and place on your bed. Close the buttons at the bottom and you are finished!
