Can I connect a P.V.C.nipple to a cast iron well pump?

    Daniel,

    I would say yes!..We run PVC off most well pumps. However, without seeing the pump I would have someone look at it. If you post a photo, I'm sure we all here on Hometalk can give you a more definite answer. You can add photos to your post by clicking the "Add Photos" link on the bottom left of your reply. It is always a good idea to use Teflon tape and schedule 40 PVC when running off of a pump. Keep us posted!

    Hello Danial Yes you can,make sure to use some type of pipe dope or Teflon tape at connection,also supply some type of support for the pvc pipe to prevent movement.Straps to wood supports will work above ground in case connection in sand before covering with soil good luck.
