Caring for Orchids

Once considered difficult, orchids are remarkably easy to grow. Here's some tips on how to make your store-bought blooms last longer..
Extend the life of flowering orchids by providing the suitable environment - indirect sunlight, moderate temperatures and regular watering.
Water once a week, no more. Place pot in a tray lined with gravel to provide much needed humidity, especially in the winter months.
Mist with water weekly. Do not place over a direct heat source or in a draft.
Provide ample circulation around the base. These orchids are actually int heir original pots with damp newspaper crumpled around the base to provide circulation, support and humidity.

How do you get an orchid to rebloom??? I've had an orchid for 2 1/2 years but it hasn't bloomed since I got it. The leaves are a beautiful green.... Help please and thank you!
    • More than anything, they need warm days and cool nights in indirect light. Don't forget to use a fertiliser that's specifically designed for orchids. Good luck!
