Stairway to Mancave HELP

Wondering what I should do with this area? It leads to my sons Mancave which is also a work in progress? Help
First of all, secure non-slip treads on the steps!
Lucky you! Would love to have a great space like this! Ok, here is whay I would do. First paint the entire area a color you all agree on. Make sure the stairs and handrail are safe, secure and to code. Now, either go funky by stenciling something like "Man Cave Below⬇" or "Entrance" or something funny and amusing. Or DIY a piece of art together to hang in the stairwell. I would just make it a project that you do together, then let him have free reign in the space below.
Is he a sports fan? Great space to put up team memorabilia!
you could use all that wall space to store sports equipment etc. Hang baskets and/or shelves, and hang a ladder so as to be able to reach them.
Most things on that ledge or those walls will collect dust... Maybe paint a cool color and change hardware. If you're organized enough you could remove some of the doors all together.
