How about a command hook in an easy access area on the wall?
You can get a towel bar with suction cups. Here is one I found, I'm sure you can find something you like.

Skip the towel bar and get the suction cup normaly used for razors. They will hold wash clothe to dry. It has been on the shower wall 3years now.
Placing a tension rod near the wall inside the tub area will give you a space for hanging wash cloths or towels.
A horizontal grab bar would work.
