How do I prevent carpenter bees from making holes in my new deck?

    You can use any bee killer like Raid, and then make sure to patch up the holes to keep them from coming back. Best of luck!!

    we used mint leaves in the holes and had great succes.

    squirt some WD40 in the holes

    Easy google carpenter bee traps. You can probably make them yourself. You can buy them and they work. You hang them up it looks like a little house with a mason jar on the bottom. The bees go in through holes on the sides of the house and can't get out.

    We have had great success with WD40, spray well into their holes.
