The spiders seem to get into the kitchen sink, bath tub, and shower!! I have serious allergies, and can't tolerate bug sprays... would like some eco friendly ideas.

Much thanks,
Virginia T.

Hi Virginia! Have you tried white vinegar and water (half half in a spray bottle)? This is know the be a good solution. You have to spray it frequently around cracks and crevices, and you can add some essential oils to make it smell better. Good luck!!

Peppermint oil. Get the oil from pharmacies, essential oils are maybe better than food type peppermint extract from food stores. Make your own by planting peppermint (not spearmint or wintergreen) outside your house which will deter most bugs from coming inside. Check www.wikihow.com for how to make a spray to use in your shower. I have wire drain screens in my shower to catch hair (get them at the dollar store) which should prevent most anything from coming out, but would also be a great place to put some fresh mint leaves. I recommend planting your mint in containers in the ground as it can really grow by runners in the ground and infiltrate your garden.

Keep the stoppers in your drains and nothing can come through .

Essential mint oil and water in a spray bottle works well.
