I have a beige frame on my patio slider and I need too change the color. I need it to be solid white or a white background with a very delicate print. How can I make this happen; I do not want too have too put in a new door as this one is only 2 years old. The wall color is Sherman Williams "Worldly Grey", the door has a white wood frame.

  • I would just paint it white. As much as I like the idea of a delicate print, I think it might get lost and not be seen properly and might just appear "dirty" - not what you intend it to look like.

Removing the doors would make it easier. Cover the glass with newspapers and painters tape. Use spray paint made for metal. Several light coats will give a smooth finish.

Yes to the spray paint, but as Naomie said, the small, delicate print will be lost and not show up until you are close to the screen.. Remove the doors, lay newspaper on the screen and tape down edges really well so the screens don't get a line of white--unless you want them all white.

Just to give it a different look I would see if I can take the wall color see if you can translate that to a spray paint for the doors frame that out even more

Have you tried taping the metal with white painter's tape to see if that is the "look" you want first before trying anything? I would go for a bolder color but that is just my preference.
