  • Vacuum them up. I just use a dustpan, scoop them up and take outside. Not all spiders are bad, but since we don't know what yours are, better to be safe than sorry.

I use Raid fumigators. You need to leave your house for 2 hours but it kills any kind of insects in your house.

Catch a fourth one and trade them in for a dollar.

Most all spiders eat other insects and that is good. We had a house fumigated a few years back and the company said you will have a large supply of spiders come in and eat the dead insects so expect it.

Mary and Big Mike, you are both from the humid east where bugs take on a whole different life. We get a lot of spiders in Colorado and I try to give them slack because they do eat so many bugs, but I'm sorry, I am drawing the line this year. A friend told me to get a debugger for each room and maybe four for the garage. Set them off at the same time and leave for a few hours and that the pets should be okay if you take them with. (not sure about fish etc...). Anyway, at the same time get the bug/spider killer that you hook up to the hose and do the outside perimeter of your house and if you have a crawl space, that when you do the inside of the house. This way you get them coming and going. The reason why I do not want one single bug in my house is because it only takes one laying their eggs to create a major problem. And Mary, if you've seen three, there are hundreds you haven't seen. btw...they live in furniture, like couches, so turn them on their side so you can get every nook and cranny.

Peppermint oil will help and it is not poisonous to children or other animals. Spiders do not like peppermint oil. Get a spray bottle and fill with water put in 6-8 drops of peppermint oil and spray all around your house inside and outside.

Spiders also don't like white vinegar-fill a spray bottle with a mixture of vinegar and water and spray the perimeter of your rooms and anywhere a spider might like to hide. Vacuum webs and dead insects with a vengeance-you want to starve the spiders.
