We're talking "Big" pots as you can see. I'm small stature so heave- ho & picking them up just ain't gonna happen!
No $$ to buy yard cart that might help, I had to improvise another way to move them. Hhhhmm, old 2-wheel moving dolly, won't work by itself, bottom plate to shallow for pot to fit on without larger plate. OK, wood, will add weight, so no.
Determined to find a way, off to Goodwill I go to find something light weight for bottom plate. Metal tray or cookie sheet, nope too thin. Finally I spotted a thick styro waterboard, fabric covered, totally flat big surface, & very light weight. With my $4 find, I headed for home to put it together. Perfect fit.
Love this idea, I'm trying to do something like this myself. Out of interest how did you get the pots onto the surfboard? Was it easy to scoop them up? Was there a concern that the surfboard might snap?
Bungee cords and ratchet straps are essential tools. Handcarts too. Gardening is hard work!
I found the flat bungees worked better with these pots. This is actually one of the easiest landscape projects I've done in a long time.
