If it's spilled on a wood floor, I know that kitty litter acts as a really good absorbent. Just pour it over, allow it to sit and absorb the moisture and sweep up. You can remove the remaining soap with damp paper towels. Good luck!

I had a bottle of liquid laundry soap fall and split open once. I took a LARGE ziplock bag and as many hand towels and washcloths as I could find and started mopping up. The soggy towels went into the ziplock bag and, with each load of laundry, I dropped one or two (depending on how saturated they were) in with the load. The last bit was wiped up a vinegar and water rinse.

  • Try breaking up the suds from cleaning up spilled soap with liquid fabric softener. We had a bottle of shampoo fall out of the closet and break open and the conditioner helped to cut those suds.

I'd toss the towels or whatever you used to mop the mess up with (as long as it wasn't paper that could be tossed out) onto the lawn and hose it off. I live in the South though and its 85 degrees outside in the shade. Not sure if you can do that .
