How do I go about making my basement laundry room warmer then it is?

    Put rugs down and leave the door open to circulate the heat better.

    Could you insulate the walls? And if there is a heat duct pipe overhead, call your HVAC guy to get a quote on putting in a heat vent overhead.


    You could also simply add a space heater like the oil ones that look like a radiator, less likely to cause a fire, turned on low.

    One thing we did on the farm (very cold basement) was put a deflector vent into the dryer vent. You can have it so the heat from the dryer goes in to the room. In the summer, you turn it so the heat goes out the wall.
