How do I get rid of fleas in my home my carpet and my pets?
My carpets are infested with fleas I've tried everything and nothing seems to work.
Starting with the furthest room ,crack open the windows and set flea bombs off. Leave the premises for about two hours.
put a lamp on th fleet at night and shine it on a shallow dish with dish soap and water. They will jump in and drown. Sounds weird but I swear it works and there is no toxic spraying. They also hate peppermint oil.
You could try Hartz UltraGuard Plus Flea & Tick Home Spray. I used it in our cats bed and the carpet and it did the trick
I had a major flea problem last year from a relative walking their infestation into our home. Used a natural product which I would highly, highly recommend. "Vet's Best Flea & tick Home Spray" natural formula has peppermint oil and clove extract which fleas must hate. Smell is strong, but it absolutely got rid of the fleas in the carpet and everywhere else. You will smell cloves, but it is a clean smell, not offensive to me at least. Its a Spray bottle, and I sprayed everything randomly for a few weeks, including bathing my long haired pomeranian dog in their shampoo products, don't forget bedding. It worked. Order online. Read directions for use on pets, ages, and surfaces to use on.
mix essential oils (peppermint and cloves) with water in a spray bottle and spray away.
When we were renting, our landlord's cat would visit and we found out he had fleas. The lamp over the water worked great. We did it for a few days and then repeated at weekly intervals to make sure any eggs that had hatched died too.
I'd probably stick with something more vet approved for cats and dogs. Never had a cat so I really don't know about them.
