Can i wallpaper straight onto bare plasterboard?

    No. You need to "size" the wall. I recommend a stain blocking primer or you'll never be able to remove the wallpaper in the future.

    I agree, paint it first then put sizing on it if you ever want to remove the wall paper in the future

    These people are right. Must size wall first. Our family have been professional wallpaper hangers and painters for 70 years n ow. Besides if you try to remove the wallpaper at any time the covering on the plaster board will come off. Another thing is if you just hang wallpaper without sizing the plasterboard will absorb the paste and become mushy and you can get mold.

    No! You will pull the drywall off when you try to remove the wallpaper years from now. Trust me, I found out the hard way.
