Make sure your glue sticks are 'fresh' tho, if they're old it won't last.

My hot glued projects didn't fair well in the desert sun at the flea market this weekend. The ones completed with E600 survived. I think it is best to keep hot glue projects inside!

I've done art shows for about 15 years now. Hot glue and weather do not get on well. Really hot and cold do it in. I really like the E6000. But on most of my projects where I use glue, I use multiple glues. Sometimes a hot glue helps to hold the project so I don't have to hold it and wait like what seems forever. E6000 is my first choice of glues. Sometimes I'll add a glass glue or bead glue, even a fabric glue, depending on the materials.
