What trim around french doors would look best?

We have white shiplap walls in our kitchen with french doors. The door itself is stained wood, and we painted the trim white. Would it look better if the trim was stained?

  • Without pictures are know what your décor taste is like, It's all a matter of what you like. You are living with it. I would say to leave it white for a little while, if it starts to get on your nerves, you can change it.

Leave it for now. If it really bugs you just change out the trim, easy fix. Unless you have alot of stained wood you can consider painting the doors to match the white trim.

If the doors are stained I would stain the trim as well so the doors appear larger and more uniform with matching trim.

i would keep the white trim for now. That combo does look nice and is used a lot in decorating. If you don't like it you can either change the trim or paint the door white to match the rest of house trim.
