Redhead Can Decorate's Coffee Lounge

My husband & 2 teens drink a lot of coffee. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but I do like tea icon . So, one day while watching them sip (gulp) coffee at the kitchen table in front of our roaring fireplace, I had a revelation! Why not switch the kitchen table to the living room, and bring the couch into the kitchen so we can enjoy this space more? So, I did it! Here's a few photos and brief information on the idea, but you can also see everything on my blog redheadcandecorate.com.
My husband thought it was a crazy idea at first, but I talked him into helping move the furniture. Above you can see the view from the fireplace, so the fire is actually behind us if we were standing here. I added that vintage blue rug (info on that is on my blog) and the adjustable industrial style table and it really set the mood (you can find more information on the table here [aff. link}: Amazon Industrial Table. The table is perfect because you can turn that wooden crank so it goes up and down. In other words, we still eat dinner here! It's cozier, it's cool, and the kids really seem to like it so they talk more. That is definitely a great thingicon .
Here's the view looking at the fireplace. The sofa is a large sectional so we can all fit on there. I actually enjoy working (blogging all of our projects sign up here so you don't miss them!) here as well, and our teens do their homework here. In fact, they use to do homework upstairs, but now they are down here with us.
Honestly, I am so happy we did this. No one can tell you where to put your furniture except you. What does your family enjoy doing the most? Then go from there. Here's the view on the other side of the kitchen and you can see where we watch movies on the TV up on the black shelf above the microwave. You maybe wondering what the table looks like in our living room? Stop over and take a peek. Just follow the link below to my blog.

Love, love, love your table! When you find it, you buy it and never have regrets for walking away. Your home is beautiful, but this table is quite a statement.
