Knockout roses. You plant them, they grow. Seriously. That's all they take. You'll spend more time pruning them than any other care.
All roses need preventative maintenance as well as daily maintenance. There are new drought tolerant varieties available however you will still have to maintaining them with proper water, food, sprays etc. This holds true to every plant or tree or flower.
Thank you so much for your answer.......
Knockout roses. The ones I have are indestructible. I just remove faded flowers back to above a five-leaf shoot. That's it.
I have had knockout roses (both the double bloom and the single bloom) for years and have been rewarded with tons of blooms for very little work. In late February I prune my bushes back to 1-1 1/2' to promote fuller bushes and more blooms. I usually have to apply Sevin dust in June-July because of Japanese Beetles. Most summers I do not have to water my bushes unless we experience an extended period of drought. I think you will find that knockouts are the easiest thpe of roses to grow if you try them.
