  • Are you renovating? If it needs to be removed for any reason, it needs to be completed by qualified, licensed professionals as it is a dangerous process. Depending upon where you live dictates building codes, local authorities to be notified, etc.

If you are not remodeling, as long as it is not touched or disturbed in any way, you should be fine. But I would call someone in just to be sure.

Asbestos is a huge health risk which is why there are so many rules and regulations. Hope this help you out a bit.

Liftinghimup, please do this with the professionals as has already been stated. Very dangerous to your lung health if it is disturbed in any way. As also said, if not touching it in any way you are good. It is not to be fooled with as the millions of laws

As was stated before, unless you are going to be replacing the siding over the asbestos siding you are safe from the hazards of it. Leave it alone. Removing it now is expensive. My father died due to working around it for years. He got sick with Mesothelioma about 20 years after the exposure stopped. I don't wish that on anyone. Again, unless you are planning on replacing the outer siding, leave it alone!

Leave it alone. It is not a problem as it is covered up. Removing it can be very expensive. Having it covered up is the best option.
