How do I paint inside of jars/vases?

Pour some paint in, swirl it around until all areas inside are covered t pour it back into the can. Leave the container upside down on aome to drain and when it dries you'll have wha you want. If needed, repe the process for a second coat.

If you are going for a single color that just a matter of pouring in some paint and pouring it out. Depending on the type of paint you are using you will, of course, have restricted use because anything moist will separate the paint from the glass.

Nothing will stick permanently to glass unless it is fired on because glass is just too slick for anything to stick. Acrylics can be made more permanent by putting in a medium oven for 30 to 60 minutes. Let cool slow so the glass does not crack. Glass does NOT LIKE abrupt changes in temperature. If you can find any enamel that is much harder finish and will be stronger. If you are doing a bunch of them check with your local hardware/paint store for their OOOOPs paints.

You can get nice effect with the use of several colors and tilting the vase or jar to control the flow of color. Don't over work it or you will end up with "mud". I do not mixing mud. It's a talent.

You can actually do painting inside of a scene or design but you will have to think layered. As a flower had many layers and you need to paint on to the glass in the order you will be looking at it. As in center, petals, leaves.

I choose the acrylic color I like best; although I water it down a tad bit with water. Swirl it around in the jar until it is fully covered; let dry. Use the jar as you desire, but not for food nor drink consumption.
