Need ideas on how I can make a decorative shade cover for hostas

Do anyone have any ideas as to how I can make a decorative shade cover for hostas that are planted in pots? While I have a tree in front of my house, the sun seems to shine towards the side of the tree right where my hostas are. I would move them but the pots are too heavy to move.
Picture is taken where the sun shines the brightest and hottest.
As you can see, the two pots of hostas are blooming now and the other 3 pots are not. The two that are blooming got the less amount of sun because of the tree in front of the house but the other three pots are exposed to the sun because the tree branches does not cover the area that is exposed.

I saw a post awhile back where someone took an umbrella (small one )

and put a pretty top on it to use as a shade for some plants she had!! I am thinking of doing that for an area in my yard that the sun shines on some plants .... that need more of a shady area!! I think she took a pipe that stuck in the ground and inserted the handle!! Good luck finding a creative way !!

You could use a pvc pipe instead of a medal one..

  • I was thinking of some sort of umbrella too. I am thinking a piece of pvc pipe as the holder for the umbrella.

There are different types of hostas.....some like full sun and some like shade. I have both and the big yellow leaves on the sun loving hosta are beautiful and they were planted on the west corner of my utility shed. You may have to water your hostas more since they are in pots and in the sun. Have your thought of getting wheeled stands that will make moving your pots much easier? I have seen them in plant stores but my husband made two for me.
