Has it been a while since you used wallpaper? It had been years and years and years since I had even looked at wallpaper.
The nice folks at Walls Republic let me choose some wallpaper to use in my guest room in exchange for my post and I was more than thrilled with the results.
This room used to be my craft room and the green worked but for a guest room that is supposed to be calming and relaxing for people the green was just too much.
I only wanted to do two walls below the shelf. I thought it would be the perfect amount of pattern on the walls.
When reading the instructions on the Walls Republic site they recommended a primer to start. This is how the walls looked after the primer was applied to the walls.
The pattern I chose is called Tan Twisted Wood.
The Walls Republic wallpaper is not pre-pasted so I needed to purchase a paste. I got the powder and followed the instructions to make it into the paste.
The repeat pattern was easy to deal with and I didn't have any trouble getting started. It is really important to make sure you have a level line drawn on your wall as a guide for the first piece. This ensures you have straight, level pieces all the way across.
If you are unsure about this and how to conquer a corner there are many good videos on You Tube. That is what I did and it worked. I was able to go around my one corner without a hitch.
I love how this little bit of wallpaper completely changed the look and feel of the room and I am so happy with it!

Michelle, your room looks beautiful! I have to laugh because when we moved into this house in 1972, the first update we did was to add wallpaper. It was 'in' at the time. I just about finished getting the last of the wallpaper removed to 'update' to paint or other finishes and now wallpaper is BACK!
