buy and use it quick then throw away
Store it upside down!
Try and push in a pin to reopen the hole. We use CA and Monster Glue at our house. I have had them for up to three and four years before they are used up. The CA I keep in the freezer and the Monster Glue in a cupboard in the kitchen. Occasionally I have to reopen the tip. Make sure you wipe off the tip right away when you are done using it to help prevent buildup since they start hardening so quickly.
I've had good luck with plain scotch tape over the tip - 2-3 pieces covering the hole. If air can't get at it, it can't harden.
Put a nail in it with vaseline so it will easily slip out.
I've tried every trick there is and I have the same results. Buy the small sizes when you do not plane to use up fast. I like my glue by the gallon but I hate when it goes bad/dries up.
You can get gorilla glue in super glue sized tubes. Cheaper in the long run if it dries out before you use it.
I read on the back of E6000 to use vaseline on the cap ,works great. Should work on super glue too
I've also had luck putting a small piece of plastic wrap on the tube before closing gently then put the bottle into a plastic bag. I know it's a pain but it has saved me some bottles of specialty glue!
Depends on the project. If it's a paper craft or something delicate I usually stick with Aileenes applied thinly with small , wide brush. I'm lucky enough to have a Xyron adhesive /laminator . It's old school now but is great for applying paper to paper. Besides Gorilla Glue I have used e6000 for heavier projects especially for outside. Some of the silicon adhesives work as well. I have found over the years that even with wonderful, experienced suggestions, I often end up figuring out a solution! I do love Gorilla Glue so maybe we should all start a letter/email campaign asking for smaller sizes for we crafters!
Just reread the previous posts & see that Gorilla does come in smaller sizes! My bad for not paying attention!
The simplest way to store it is using a screw top jar (like a jam or jelly jar) and some silica Gel. That's the bagged stuff that comes with electronics and so on. Designed to suck all of the moisture out of the air.
I keep my super glues for modelling for at least 12 months this way.
