Open a window and door. Slowly move the stove away from the wall. Once you move it out enough that you can look behind the stove, look for a flexible gas line from the stove to a gas shut off valve. The flexible gas line should be long enough for you to move the stove out so you can get behind it and turn the gas shut off valve off. Then you use a pair of pliers or wrench and disconnect the flex line off the shut off valve. You will smell a little gas that remained in the flex line. When your ready to reinstall the stove, just do the reverse of above. Once you have the gas line connected, turn the gas shut off on, take some liquid dish soap and squirt some on the connection. If you don't see any bubbles form the connection is good. If you see any bubbles the connection is not tight enough or you may need to replace the flex line. If your concerned about doing this, get someone to help or a plumber.
Can't add anything except, the valve is off when the top of the valve is across the line. In line, the valve is on and there is gas ready to flow.
Think twice about wood in the kitchen . This will get more than any other room in the house other than the bathroom . It will warp and ruin. If want the look of wood , there are ceramic tile as well as floating vinyl tile that both look like wood and are waterproof. I used to be married to a professional floor installer and now both of my grown sons install as well . Practically every time they put wood down in a kitchen , they are back a year or two later , replacing it . Floors are such a huge investment . Please be aware of all your options .
We had this done, tho it was not cemented down, at all. So be alert, if you do this. When you put this down, (or have someone put it down) they know what they are really doing, ok? The floors will make a huge diff., and now they have some, that will heat, and stay warm, and this is what we have. These are great to walk on, barefoot, in the winter. Best wishes, J.
