If I plant and how a pineapple top will it grow in Tucson AZ

    Yes, it will. Planted many in 5gallon buckets. But never got fruit. Had no place to put them during winter and they didn't survive the colder temps. If you can bring them in for colder weather and make sure to water well during the hot summer they will grow. Start the roots in a cup of water.

    Keep in mind pineapple does take a long time to grow so you jave to make sure to give it enough time. It likes drained soil and heat but not direct sun. My brother lives down south and grows them and he said it takes quite awhile but worth it.

    You have to twist the top off as opposed to cutting it this gives you the little fibers that will be the roots. Place in a bowl of water give it sun and wait for the roots to sprout then transplant
