How to roll up grass and use it as turf?
I have beautiful lawn grass in an area where I would like to put a flower bed. I have really bad grass in the space between the sidewalk and the street. I would like to take up the good grass and place it there. Any ideas on how to do this easily and effectively?

Depending on the width of the two areas and square footage, you could rent a sod cutter. Then cut to length with a shovel or similar tool into manageable pieces to move. I did something similar to this and found that moving squares instead of rolls worked for me. If a sod cutter is too much for you, do it by hand with a flat shovel to create the squares.
