Put that bad boy good sign down on a set of sawhorses...if you want to protect the glass...do an X in masking tape on the glass first...then cover with cardboard and tape it up...CAREFULLY start sanding! You might want to cover the sawhorse with some padding and towels for extra protection!

@ THE DOOR IS ALREADY IN USE AS WE CLOSED UP HALF A WALL WHERE A SLIDING DOOR USED TO BE. SO REMOVING IT IS NOT AN OPTION.EVEN THOUGH WE LIVE N FLO IT MAY GET A LITTLE CHILLY! IT IS MAINLY ON THE BOTTOM OF THE OUTSIDE PART. WAS BOUGHT @ SALVAGE & WAS EXPOSED TO THE OUT DOORS. THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP & ADVICE! YOU'RE A JEWEL!!!

I would honestly wait till winter is over to do....I had the exact issue...DId finally take down the front door...and looked like a hurricane victim for 2 weeks until I finished..just used the back door till it was done! Good luck
