I want to build a a cheap, simple bird bath- ideas?

    You can purchase a 4 ft piece of pipe at your local do it yourself store, and glue a wide, shallow bowl to the top. Bury at lest one foot of pipe in the ground for stability

  • Here is one I picked up at a craft fair some 15 years ago. In desperate need of a facelift, but you get the idea. A terracotta pot turned upside down and then mosaic applied. The top is a jumbo saucer with the same mosaic tiles used. I have seen people just use the plain pots and saucers with no embellishment for a totally quick and easy birdbath.

    Use clay pots, and the tray for a large clay pot, and paint or seal with a sealer safe for animals. Be sure to use a glue that is intended for outdoor use To connect them.

    I found a lamp at Goodwill and had hubby take the electrical parts out. I glued it back together then glued a deep dish to the top.
